Jenine is a Partner and Head of the Children and Public Law Team at Hutton’s Law.

Jenine joined Huttons Law in 2020 after previously working at two national law Firms where she gained experience and knowledge in all aspects of Family Law.

Jenine’s legal practice centres around public law children’s cases which involve Social Services/Local Authorities where children may be at risk of being removed from their parent’s care and are placed in either foster care and/or for adoption; these are most commonly cases which are funded by the legal aid agency and Jenine is able to access legal aid funding where applicable to represent clients. Jenine also accepts instructions for private children law disputes which commonly occur between parents and/or guardians and grandparents regarding residence and contact issues. These are predominantly privately funded cases or where applicable are legally aided if the legal aid agency criteria threshold is met. Jenine also acts on behalf of client’s in domestic violence and abuse cases where injunctions/non-molestation orders are needed to be obtained.

Jenine represents clients who value her down to earth, empathetic, honest and direct approach and is sought after by clients across the country for legal help and representation which is testimony to her reputation and hard work on behalf of her clients. Jenine strives hard to fight for her clients, irrespective of the circumstances they find themselves in, or their background.

As well as enjoying spending family time with her two children and travelling, Jenine is currently the Vice President (incoming President in November 2022) and the Diversity and Inclusion officer for the Cardiff and District Law Society, Show Racism the Red Card committee member, school governor and South Wales Resolution (family law) committee member. Jenine has also previously taught family law students at the University of South Wales as well as held various pro bono clinics within the local community, at domestic violence agencies and prisons to ensure that her legal knowledge and skills are able to help the most vulnerable and marginalised in society seek access to justice.
