Catherine specialises and has practised exclusively in Criminal Litigation for the past 10 years, qualifying as a Fellow in 2008. She is also an Accredited Police Station Representative. Catherine is renowned for her thoroughness and professionalism which has proved vital to the success of her clients’ cases.
Catherine has a broad depth of experience of defending clients charged with serious Sexual and Violent offences, Arson, Conspiracy to Defraud, Drug offences and Burglary. She has assisted in relation to VHCC cases. Catherine represented one of 80 Defendants charged as part of “Operation Dino”, a large scale insurance fraud “Cash for Crash”, assisting in securing a non-custodial sentence. Catherine also has experience of representing vulnerable clients with mental health issues and learning difficulties including those who need assistance from an Intermediary. Catherine also represented one of 3 charged with Conspiracy to Defraud arising out of a false Will.
She has represented Defendants charged with both Production and Cultivation of Cannabis and Supply of Class A drugs and confiscation proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act which followed. She also has experience of applications to vary Confiscation Orders made.
Catherine has also represented Defendants in relation to sexual offences involving multiple complainants and with complex issues concerning multiple third party disclosure applications.
Catherine is the Branch Secretary for the CILEX Cardiff and South East Wales Branch. In her spare time, she enjoys learning Welsh, walking and keeping fit.
